Feefo reviews have the ability to use tags in order for your data to be more granular in reporting, integration and your feedback journey. Full details about tags can be found in Sales File: tags.
Adding tags through Product Tags
Within Shopify it is possible to assign tags to products. This can typically be done under Products > All Products > Select a product > Tags:
When collects sale information through Shopify using a direct data source with Shopify, either applied and managed by the Shopify plugin or configured via Data Source directly inside Hub, the system will automatically apply those tags to the product section of the sale.
These will come through as Tags attributed to the Individual Products and can be used within the Hubs Feedback Tab, Global Filter and Reporting suite with your other Tags.
The Shopify tag will be the tag Value as part of the pairing. The Key will be imported as :
The tags, typically referred to as Product Tags, can also be used to trigger Campaigns to a limited degree. At this stage only a Basic Campaign can be triggered by Shopify tags. Currently a Pre-post Campaign would not be triggered.
Although many campaigns can work, we recommend you have one secondary campaign set up at a time. In a situation where a consumer has purchased/ordered multiple products that would relate to more than one campaign, only the highest priority campaign listed in the Hub would be triggered.
This can be used to filter down sales regarding a certain Product Tag assigned to a specific Product, Product Line or Group such as Socks, Clothing or Black Friday.
Further to this the campaign could be made Service Only or used for products marked as a long lead time.

Adding tags through Shopify Collections
Shopify collections are a method of grouping products together. The grouping is defined by the Shopify merchant and so varies depending on the products and services offered but can include collections such as:
- clothes specifically for men, women, or children.
- items of a certain type, such as lamps, cushions, or rugs.
- items on sale.
- items in a certain size or colour.
- seasonal products such as holiday cards and decorations.
Feefo uses the name of the collection to add tags to the uploaded sale data, assigning a 'key value' pair to each sale. For example, if a Shopify account has a collection called Menswear, all sales sent to Feefo that include purchases of products from this collection will be given a tag key of category with a tag value of 'Menswear' (i.e. category:Menswear).
As products can be associated with multiple Shopify collections, multiple tags can be added too. Taking the above example further, if the Shopify account has another collection called Winter Sale and some products are in both the Menswear and Winter Sale collections, they would have a tag key of 'category' with a value of 'Menswear' (i.e. category:Menswear) and a tag key of 'category' with a value of 'Winter Sale' (i.e. category:Winter Sale).
In each of the above examples, Feefo assigns a tag key of 'category' but if customised tag keys are required instead, use Shopify manual collections. Naming the manual collection using the format 'key:value', for example, 'clothing:shirts', would not add the usual 'category' tag but instead add a tag key of 'clothing' with a tag value of 'shirts' (i.e. clothing:shirts). Note that customisation of tags is not possible when using Shopify automatic collections.
Naming a collection 'feefo_exclude' results in the tag key of 'category' and a tag value of 'feefo_exclude' (i.e. category:feefo_exclude). This tag is used by Feefo to identify sales where customers have purchased products where feedback is not required. More details can be found in Shopify - How To Exclude Products?
Note: All collections created within your Shopify store will be visible on your website (visibility options are dependent on your active sales channels). To hide any collection (for example, the feefo_exclude collection), uncheck the option 'Online Store' in the 'Visibility' section of the form when creating the collection.
